National Humanities Center Summer Residency Program
The National Humanities Center offers a four-week summer residency program to scholars of NHC Institutional Sponsor universities, including UNC-Chapel Hill.
Through the program, Summer Residents can jump-start a new project or make substantial progress on a current project. They receive 24/7 access to their individual studies at the NHC headquarters in Research Triangle Park.
Awards
The summer residency covers housing, meals, studies, library and administrative support. Summer Residents must provide their own transportation to North Carolina and while at the NHC.
Selection Process
Sponsoring universities have their own internal selection process and submit their scholars to the NHC. At UNC-Chapel Hill, the College of Arts and Sciences nominates NHC Summer Residents.
Funds and all restrictions are determined by the National Humanities Center.
