The IAH invites proposals from fixed-term and teaching-track faculty for the Fixed-Term Faculty Support Grant to support pedagogical development or research activities within the arts, humanities, and qualitative social sciences.

This fund has a total of $6,000. We may provide one or more grants depending on the quality and quantity of proposals. Typical award amounts range from $500 – $2,500.

Eligibility
Fixed-term faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences whose work is situated in the arts, humanities, and qualitative social sciences.

Funding Guidelines
Funds expire one year from award date.

Allowable expenses
Research-related travel, conferences or other professional development activities; work equipment, research materials/books; graduate/student/research assistants; food for research-related seminars and workshops; and contributions to campus departments (e.g. research collaborations).

Inappropriate use of funding
Personal use, regular, base, and summer salary, or any related administrative supplements.

Reporting requirement
The IAH requires a written follow-up at the end of the funding period to show the administration the impact of these small grants for non-tenured fixed-term faculty. If a publication comes out of funding, please provide a copy to the IAH.
