Resources for Promoting an Event Sponsored by the Institute
Promotion
The Institute for the Arts and Humanities may amplify events sponsored by the Institute on the IAH website, newsletter, and social media channels, provided that the event organizer delivers an event brief including graphics and event details. Event promotion requests should be submitted via Jotform at least three weeks before the event.
Event details must include a date, time, location, event title, summary/explanation of the event, and contact information for the event organizer. All events must have an existing webpage for the Institute to link to in promotional materials or the public listing on the UNC Calendar. Please make clear if there is any additional information necessary to be publicized in the promotion.
Digital content must be accessible to all users. The Digital Accessibility Office offers tips for following accessibility guidelines.
Sponsored events should list the Institute for the Arts and Humanities as a sponsor. Logos are available to download for inclusion on the events’ promotional materials; please see additional guidance on using IAH logos for your sponsored event.
Other resources for promotion:
If hosting a public event, organizers should submit it to the UNC Calendar, which accepts event submissions. This can be used as the public listing for the Institute to link to.
Event organizers should also communicate with department managers or communicators to publicize on department websites and internal faculty newsletters.
