Beginning in fall 2024, the Leadership Library will be available for reservation by Faculty Fellows, Tyson Academic Leadership Fellows, and faculty in the arts, humanities and qualitative social sciences.

Located on the first floor of Hyde Hall, the Leadership Library looks out onto McCorkle Place and the Fellows Terrace. With a small conference table and five chairs, the room is appropriate for more intimate faculty meetings or as a quiet working or co-working space.

Just steps away from the Fellows Room, the Leadership Library represents of the Institute’s commitment to collaboration and intellectual engagement. Developing the space was also an initiative of the IAH’s strategic plan, “Going Deeper to Broaden Our Impact.”

“This vibrant space is a welcomed addition to Hyde Hall,” said Institute Director Patricia Parker. “I am heartened by stories of how faculty have created community within these walls, through conversations in the Fellows Room and in the University and Incubator rooms. The Leadership Library provides yet another site for creating the sense of belonging cherished at the Institute and among faculty at Carolina.”

In addition to providing a space for faculty conversation, the Leadership Library also serves as a reading room with books from the Academic Leadership Program’s curriculum.

The Leadership Library can be reserved by request and is subject to approval by the IAH. Availability and instructions to reserve the space is available on the Institute’s website. Additional spaces in Hyde Hall are also available for reservation.
