Honors Carolina and the Institute collaborate on student grant: Deadline 4/21
March 15, 2017 | M. Clay
The Institute for the Arts and Humanities and Honors Carolina—with the generous support of the William C. Friday Leadership Fund—are proud to offer an exciting new opportunity for Honors Carolina students to assist IAH Fellows in their current research projects. Five research apprenticeships will be awarded for the fall of 2017, with students receiving stipends of $2,000.
In an effort to initiate and foster new collaborative partnerships, preference will be given to faculty/student pairings that have not previously worked together on funded research projects. Interdisciplinary projects are highly encouraged.
Faculty and student are to submit one online application. The following supplemental materials are required:
1. Faculty C.V.
2. Student resume/C.V.
3. Research project proposal that includes:
- A brief description of the nature of the research to be conducted
- Details on the student’s duties as a research assistant (8-10 hours per week)
- An explanation of how the project contributes to the academic goals of both applicants.
Joint application available at: https://unc.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_efyocgQBZNNfznv.
At the end of the semester, collaborators will participate in a culminating event presenting research to the campus community.
