Nominations for the George Johnson Prize Due

The George H. Johnson Prize for Distinguished Achievement by an IAH Fellow is a biennial award, which provides the recipient with research funds of $5,000. The awardee gives a short presentation at Hyde Hall to friends and Fellows and is given a small private dinner in their honor.

Nominations for the Johnson Prize should be submitted using the online nomination form linked below by Sept. 9, 2024. The nomination form includes a link to upload a short letter highlighting why you think the nominee should be considered for the award (500 words maximum).

Please do not tell colleagues that you are nominating them for this prize or ask them to give you supporting materials for the nomination. The selection committee will collect the necessary materials for making the decision as needed.
