NEH Summer Stipends 2017
NEH Summer Stipends support individuals working full-time on a humanities project at any stage of development by providing funding for two consecutive months of full-time research and writing. Faculty members teaching full-time at colleges and universities must be nominated by their institutions to apply for a summer stipend.
UNC wins grant as part of $1.65 million NEH Next Generation PhD initiative
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is one of 28 universities taking part in a major national initiative to transform graduate education in the humanities. Former ALP Director Kim Strom-Gottfried joins Chancellor Folt’s cabinet
UNC Chancellor Carol Folt announced today that Dr. Kim Strom-Gottfried will serve as the director, ethics and policy management, effective Aug. 1. Strom-Gottfried is the Smith P. Theimann Jr. Distinguished Professor of Ethics and Professional Practice in the School of Social Work. She recently completed her 8 years as Academic Leadership Program Director at the Institute for the Arts and Humanities.
