Call for Applications: Director, Academic Leadership Program

The Institute for the Arts and Humanities invites applications to be Director of the Academic Leadership Program (ALP). The ALP Director works in conjunction with The Institute’s Senior Leadership Consultant in the support and development of each ALP cohort. The Director develops the curriculum, co-facilitates program sessions and activities, and serves as an ex-officio member of the ALP Selection Committee.

Candidates must be active UNC faculty, and must be available during the Thursday spring seminars from 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Strong preference will be given to applicants who are alumni of the ALP.

 

Description 

The Director of the Academic Leadership Program will lead the curriculum development for the seminar in the spring semester along with the IAH’s Senior Leadership Consultant. The ALP Director will be at all programmatic meetings including (but not limited to) seminars, two retreats (in January and May), a spring dinner, a fall orientation dinner, and a fall cohort dinner. The person in the position will also be an ex-officio participants in the selection process, led by the Faculty Advisory Board’s Leadership Selection Committee. The ALP Director reports to the Institute Director.
