Salons

"IAH Salons: Conversations and Libations" gathers together faculty Fellows and community members for interesting conversations. Civic-minded friends of the Institute host several salons a semester. Each occasion brings together different members of the university and broader local community for a shared meal and evening of conversation around a topic selected by the Salon's host.

The Salons are a continuation of the Community Dinners Initiative IAH developed in 2004. They reflect the recognition that too often the work of the university cloisters faculty from the dynamism of surrounding communities and that the Institute could help bridge the town-and-gown divide.
