Leadership

Institute for the Arts and Humanities leadership programs prepare faculty for academic, intellectual and institutional leadership roles at the University and provide ongoing support for faculty who have assumed such positions.

The IAH offers two leadership programs:

  • Academic Leadership Program – tenured faculty explore the challenges facing UNC and how they might help the university through this program, whose main activities take place in the spring semester.
  • Chairs Leadership Program – new and reappointed chairs in the College of Arts and Sciences may participate in this series of monthly meetings to examine issues and provide collegial support as they complete the first year of their terms as chairs.
