• Center for Teaching at Vanderbilt University - lists Web and print resources on leadership for department chairs, including case studies
• Center for Teaching, Learning and Scholarship at Samford University - in addition to resources, includes information about several annual conferences that address department chairs' needs and concerns

• Effective Practices for Academic Leaders - links to online best practice articles for chairs on a variety of topics in electronic journal format at UNC Libraries
