New Faculty Program
The Institute for the Arts and Humanities at UNC-Chapel Hill serves faculty at all levels by providing resources to develop and enrich faculty exchanges across the College of Arts and Sciences. Broad-ranging, innovative conversations fostered in a spirit of interdisciplinary conviviality are a core mission of the IAH, with the goal of refreshing and enhancing scholarship in the arts, humanities and qualitative social sciences at UNC.
With this goal in mind, the IAH will host a series of events during the 2013-2014 academic year to bring together new faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences. The New Faculty Program is open to tenure-track and tenured faculty in their first, second or third year at UNC. The program will serve to connect faculty across the College to foster interdisciplinary conversations soon upon arriving at UNC. The program will also introduce new faculty to the IAH, its programs and its Fellows.Events during the 2013-14 academic year include an off-campus day trip, dinner with IAH Fellows and guests, two sessions of "microtalks," and a spring reception.
