Fellowships

Institute for the Arts and Humanities Fellowships provide semester leaves on campus for faculty to work on research for publication, exhibition, composition and performance. In addition, Fellowships enable faculty to develop new courses, programs and initiatives.

The IAH Model comprises the weekly seminar in which each class of eight to 12 Fellows meets to discuss their research, teaching and projects with an interdisciplinary group of colleagues.

Once appointed, Fellows join an expanding community of artists and scholars who receive ongoing support from their new network of colleagues and from the IAH. Our Fellows often continue to meet once their semester together ends, continuing the conversation. The Institute provides proposal assistance to help Fellows attract outside funding and summer fellowships, and we support conferences, lectures, workshops, exhibits and performances.
