Chapel Hill, N.C. — The Institute for the Arts and Humanities (IAH) announced application dates and requirements for its latest round of fellowships. UNC-Chapel Hill faculty may apply for one of the two available fellowships: IAH Fellowships or Chapman Family Faculty Fellowships.
The fellowships offer UNC faculty a unique, semester-long opportunity to pursue projects for publication, exhibition, composition and performance, as well as a weekly seminar/luncheon to exchange ideas with eight to 12 other Fellows from various disciplines.
Deadlines for each are:
- IAH Fellowships — Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at noon.
- Chapman Fellowships — Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at noon.
Applicants may apply for fall or spring semesters. Faculty members who have previously held a fellowship at the Institute for the Arts and Humanities may apply again, but only in the fifth year following their IAH fellowship.
IAH Fellowships provide leave time and support for faculty to pursue to projects related to the arts, humanities or social sciences. Joint proposals from two faculty members are also acceptable.
