College of Arts and Sciences Dean Holden Thorp welcomes faculty at reception

Chapel Hill, N.C. — All faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences are invited to attend a reception with Dean Holden Thorp Friday, August 24, 4-6 p.m. in Hyde Hall.

The Institute for the Arts and Humanities will host the event to kick off the fall semester and welcome Thorp, who was appointed dean of the college effective July 1.

The Institute for the Arts and Humanities, part of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's College of Arts and Sciences, offers programs and activities that support UNC faculty at every stage of their careers. The Institute funds individual and collaborative research projects, showcases faculty work, develops faculty leaders and teachers, and facilitates the formation of collaborative, interdisciplinary communities that promote intellectual exchange.
