Lectures
The Institute for the Arts and Humanities hosts two endowed lectures for the University community:
- Mary Stevens Reckford Memorial Lecture
in European Studies, created by UNC Classics Professor
Kenneth J. Reckford to honor his wife, Mary.
Martin Puchner, Professor of Drama and English and Comparative Literature at Harvard University, will deliver the Reckford Lecture on Thursday, February 21, 2013. - Weil Lecture on American
Citizenship, established by brothers Henry and Solomon
Weil in 1915 to widen discussion of the American scene.
Jon M. Huntsman, former Governor of Utah and the U.S. Ambassador to China, will deliver the Weil Lecture on Monday, November 12, 2012.
