The 2012 Reckford Lecture in European Studies

This year’s Reckford Lecturer is historian and writer Mark Mazower, director of the Center for International History at Columbia University. Mazower, who specializes in modern Greece, 20th century Europe and international history, will deliver the talk Feb. 16 in the Hanes Art Center auditorium. More info coming soon.

The 2012 Mary Stevens Reckford Memorial Lecture in European Studies will take place Thursday, Feb. 16. Historian and writer Mark Mazower, director of the Center for International History at Columbia University, will deliver the talk at 7 p.m. in the Hanes Art Center Auditorium.

Mazower, who specializes in modern Greece, 20th century Europe and international history, is the author of several books, most recently No Enchanted Palace: the End of Empire (Princeton UP, 2009) and Hitler’s Empire: Nazi Rule in Occupied Europe (Allen Lane, 2008), which won the LA Times Book Prize for History.
