Academic Freedom Part II: Starving the Beast

April 24 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Starving the Beast

This event builds on the first discussion following the screening of the 2016 documentary Starving the Beast. As part of the Academic Leadership Program (ALP) initiative, the focus of this Academic Freedom discussion is the future of our great public research university, academic freedoms and responsibilities in changing political and economic times. The panel features Academic Leadership Program Director Suzanne Gulledge and a panel of ALP Fellows: Andy Reynolds, Andy Perrin, Richard Myers, Barbara Entwisle.

If you have not seen the movie, UNC staff, students and faculty can do so through the free service Kanopy.

It is also available on iTunes.
