James Keith (“JK”) Brown is Head of Global Investor Relations for Och-Ziff and is a member of Och-Ziff’s Partner Management Committee. Prior to joining Och-Ziff in 2003, Mr. Brown spent more than four years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he was a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Institutional Sales and Relationship Management. He began his career at J.P. Morgan, followed by a position at Dartmouth College. Mr. Brown then moved to Bankers Trust, where he was a Managing Director. Brown holds a B.A. in psychology in 1984 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was awarded a research grant from Stanford in 1985 from Stanford University. Formerly, Brown served on several UNC boards: the Young Alumni Leadership Council, the Board of Visitors, the Student Affairs Advisory Board, and the UNC-CH Investment Fund Board. Currently at UNC, he serves as chair of the Carolina Arts Leadership Council. He also serves on the Ackland Art Museum National Advisory Board (Chair Emeritus) and the Chancellor’s Philanthropic Council.
