Keynotes and Panels

The Institute for the Arts and Humanities is collaborating with units across the UNC campus and plans to work with corporate sponsors to identify nationally recognized experts to invite as keynote speakers during the CHAT festival. Following each keynote lecture, the keynote speaker will moderate a panel with a mixture of area faculty and industry experts.

The topics currently under discussion are:

• Technology, Media and the Law - addresses issues of copyright, intellectual property, media, law and culture
• The Internet in 2020 - contemplates the future of the Internet through issues of security, integrity and entrepreneurship
• Gaming - explores the use of gaming in education, recreation, simulation and art
