Announcing the 2019-2020 Faculty Fellows
The Institute for the Arts and Humanities is pleased to announce its 2019-2020 cohort of Faculty Fellows. The Faculty Fellowship Program provides on-campus leaves for faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences to work on interdisciplinary scholarly projects. Professor Andrew J. Perrin Announced as New IAH Director
Professor Andrew J. Perrin has been named the next director of the Institute for the Arts and Humanities, effective July 1. He will succeed Mark Katz, who completes his IAH term at the end of the spring 2019 semester. Perrin is a professor of sociology and special assistant to the provost and dean for accreditation and curricular innovation. He has been a member of the Carolina faculty since 2001. Announcing the Schwab Academic Excellence Award Winners
The Institute for the Arts and Humanities has announced the winners of this year’s Schwab Academic Excellence Awards. The $3,000 prize recognizes one faculty member in each College of Arts and Sciences department across the arts, humanities and qualitative sciences. Department chairs nominate faculty for the award.
