The IAH and UNC Department of HIstory co-sponsor “Gender, Politics and Culture in Europe and Beyond: What is the Future of Feminist/Gender History?"
The workshop the 15th annual Mary Stevens Reckford Memorial Lecture in European Studies on Feb. 7 with guest lecturer Joan W. Scott of Princeton University, speaking on "Cover-Up: French Gender Equality and the Islamic Headscarf."
The workshop takes a critical look at the theoretical and methodological developments in the field of women's and gender history after more than 30 years of research.
